The food and service were outstanding. It's a little hole in the wall with very little frills from the outside (and even on the inside,) but the quality of food for what you pay is outstanding. Will definitely return
Small restaurant with great Japanese combo dishes. My favorite is the Mackerel Sashimi combo that comes with an amazing 3 small dish appetizer.
I’ve been coming to Temari Cafe for nearly a decade now & it continues to be one of my favorite restaurants of all time. The food is fantastic; everything on the menu. The service & staff are always friendly & incredibly fast & attentive. The location & atmosphere is so warm & cozy. It ticks all the boxes & I will continue to visit Temari as long as I can.
Had the Chicken Katsu this time. Tender, juicy chicken wrapped in a crispy crust and savory potato salad with a side of miso soup. Delicious! Had Ramen the first time I was there, also very good. Small "mom & poppish" with storage everywhere. Slight clutter look, but with character. The atmosphere was a slight disappointment with the hint of cleaning supplies smells.
Delicious and authentic Japanese food! I recommend you try it if you’re in the area. It’s not a big place, and they are limited on tables, if there is a wait, it’s worth it!
We used to go here every week when we lived closer, now that we moved and almost an hour drive away, we still dine here once or twice a month! We LOVE the food , the cozy vibe , and the waitresses are very warm and nice esp the lady that speaks Japanese, she elevates the vibe! Our go to comfort food is their katsu curry, i get the chicken Katsu on top of it instead of the default pork Katsu (both are good though) their vegetable salad and miso soup are perfect starters! My husband lived and loved Japan and he sez this is the closest thing to the real deal in the area, reminded him of cocos!
I always come here when I want good Japanese food nearby Rockville area, people who are working here are so nice and kind. The food is very tasty. No matter what you order, you will love it. The store itself is very tiny so there are always waiting time but it doesn't matter because this place is so good. I recommend their aka macrakel, tonkatsu, chicken teriyaki. You can always upgrade their small size salad to either medium or large size by adding only few dollars which is amazing. Its a great deal for vegetable lovers like me.
